A Gallant Effort

Steve Beaton lost out on a quarter final place as Andy Hamilton came through 3-2 in sets. Beaton started the way he did in his previous round against Andy Smith by hitting all his double in's and checked out with some clinical finishing to take the first set 3-2 in legs. The second set saw Beaton's form desert him and Hamilton won the set 3-0 however Beaton re discovered his form and took the 3rd set 3-2. Hamilton again showed why he has the reputation of being a terrior who wont let go of your trouser legs by coming back to take the 4th set 3-2 before going on to win the match by taking the last set 3-0. Congratulations to Andy Hamilton and we wish him well for the rest of the tournament.
