Also appearing on the night will be Team Precision's young Guns Joe " The Rockstar "Cullen, " The Spartan " Devon Petersen and " The Great Welsh Hope " Jamie Lewis. Wayne Jones makes semi finals

GR8 team member Wayne Jones quest for the Dutch Masers title was ended in the semi final tonight by Paul Nicholson, Wayne played brilliantly in the quarter final to defeat Phil Taylor with a 101.49 average but could not repeat that against Nicholson. Never the less it is a great performance from the Wolverhampton man and we are sure will bode him well going in to his hometown tournament the Grand Slam.

GR8 team member Wayne The Wanderer Jones beat Andy Jenkins to set up a quarter final clash with Phil Taylor in the Dutch Masters. Well done Wayne and best of luck for the rest of the tournament.

GR8 Trio through to last 32

GR8 team members Kevin Painter, Wayne Jones and Steve Beaton are all through to the last 32 of the Dutch Masters. kevin Painter beat Brian Woods 6-3 on the main stage in this afternoon's session while Wayne Jones beat Dave Ladley 6-2 on stage two. The evening session saw Steve Beaton defeat Dean Winstanley 6-5 on stage two which completed a hatrick for the GR8 team members.

GR8 team member Dennis The Menace Priestley will appear in an exhibition of darts with Golden Girl Trina Gulliver in a pre Grand Slam Event at the Cleveland Arms, Stow Heath Lane,Moseley Village, Wolverhampton WV1 2QN. The event is in aid of the Poppy Appeal and there could be a few familiar faces there that night as The Grand Slam starts the next day. Come along and support the appeal and have a GR8 night at the darts.

Craig Davies Wins Members Profile Competition

GR8 Member Craig Davies has won the members profile competition and the signed set of Wayne Jones Darts. Craig from Hednesford, Staffs and known as The Pitman joined GR8 on the 2nd of August this year and quotes his favorite player as being Wayne Jones himself. Craig who only started playing darts a couple of years ago plays at Riley's in Cannock and practices for at least an hour most days, well Craig Wayne's darts will in flight to you tomorrow so you can start practicing with them next week and if you can play half as well as Wayne you will be doing ok.

A Gallant Effort

Steve Beaton lost out on a quarter final place as Andy Hamilton came through 3-2 in sets. Beaton started the way he did in his previous round against Andy Smith by hitting all his double in's and checked out with some clinical finishing to take the first set 3-2 in legs. The second set saw Beaton's form desert him and Hamilton won the set 3-0 however Beaton re discovered his form and took the 3rd set 3-2. Hamilton again showed why he has the reputation of being a terrior who wont let go of your trouser legs by coming back to take the 4th set 3-2 before going on to win the match by taking the last set 3-0. Congratulations to Andy Hamilton and we wish him well for the rest of the tournament.

GR8 team member Steve Beaton is first up tonight against Andy Smith, then later on in the 3rd last match Richie Burnett will take on double and reigning World Champion Adrian Lewis. Both our boys will have to bring their best games but we all know the 1995 & 1996 former World Champions are more than capable if they play at the top of their game. We wish them both the very best of luck tonight and hope they can emulate what GR8 team member Kevin Painter did last night.

Battersea Dogs home

We sent the £101.00 we raised at Stockport on Friday evening to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and we received this email from them today.

Two World Champions are coming to Sincil Bank home of Lincoln City Football Club on Friday 30th November 2012. Two time World Champions Dennis Priestley &  Anastasia Dobromyslova will lock horns on the Oche with local dart players & fans as they demonstrate why they are legends of the game. Legends in Lincoln is the order of the evening where 2 players hit ton pluses for fun and finish legs on outrages check outs just because they can.

Why not come along and be part of the fun and meet the players face to face or even go toe to toe with them on the Oche, if you dare.

Stockport Report

A fantastic night of darts at Edgeley Park Stadium as the GR8 team performed an exhibition with team members Tony O'shea & Chris Mason. Twenty four legs of 701 were played against a very lively and enthusiastic crowd before Chris & Tony went head to head in a 5 leg match.

Ian Wright who was on his stag night kicked of proceedings against Tony O'shea and was holding his own in the early stages however Tony's experience got him to down to the double first and as he stepped up to the oche for double top he got down on one knee and took it out with his first dart. The matches that followed saw some close encounters but sadly for the challengers Tony & Chris were at the top of their game with heavy scoring and some clinical finishing.

The night was a real treat for the team as we were able to meet some of the GR8 members in person, Scott Cole, TheCobra501 and his partner travelled from Castleford and stayed overnight somewhere in Stockport but the next morning I bumped into them again in a cafe devouring a full english and two large coffee's. We also met Derek Des Webster who recently joined us online and I would like to say what great guys these two members are and we look forward to seeing them both again.

Our MC Andy Firth was in top form as immediately found a rapore with the audience, well done Andy for another GR8 performance. Before the final games we did a raffle in aid of our sponsored charity Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and a generous crowd helped us to raise £101.00 which will be winging its way to them on Monday.

The final game saw Tony & Chris go head to head over 5 legs and although Tony came out a 3 - 0 winner the game was very close as Chris's darts decided they preferred the floor as several bounce outs severely dented Chris's scoring.

Again a very big thank you from the GR8 Team to those who attended and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
